Join FC Buffalo as we screen a love story to lower division soccer at the beautiful North Park Theater, starring Brenock O’Connor (“Game of Thrones”), Martine McCutcheon (“Love Actually”), and Jamie Forman (“EastEnders”). The movie features a ripping soundtrack including Dusty Springfield, Stevie Wonder, and Small Faces.
We’d like to thank the movie’s producers for allowing the club to keep all the proceeds from this screening!
Tickets are $8 presale, $10 at door, and can be scooped up at the North Park web site.
After the screening, we’ll bop next door to Mes Que to watch the Bills/Ravens and whatever soccer is on the TV screens. Call it a pre-holiday party’s pre-holiday party.
The film is considered family friendly: https://www.commonsensemedia.org/movie-reviews/the-bromley-boys
From IMDB:
“The Bromley Boys is a funny yet touching coming of age football memoir played out to the sights and sounds of late 60’s Britain. Based on the hilarious novel by Dave Roberts, it recounts the author’s highs and the lows supporting the worst football team in the country at the time – Bromley FC.”
