FC Buffalo visits Toledo Villa for its first 2024 USL League Two away match on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Paul Hotmer Field.

Head coach Sean Hallas has started his tenure in charge with a 3-0-0 record but it only gets trickier from here, one week removed from a trophy-lifting win over rivals Erie. Hallas’s team will play the second of four-straight road games with a venture deep into Ohio.
The Wolves met Toledo Villa once already this year, winning 4-1 at home in a game Hallas described as “near enough perfection.” Spanish striker Ander Castillo scored two of the Wolves’s three goals in the first half and assisted midfielder Matheus Spina in the second half. German defender Fabian Overkamp also scored in the match.

Toledo, led by fourth-year head coach Matt Johnson, plays its third 2024 USL League Two match on Wednesday. Toledo lost to Fort Wayne 1-0 on Sunday but finally gets to play in front of its home fans.
The last time both teams met at Hotmer Field, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Felix Kogler scored two goals to spoil Toledo’s opportunity to reach the playoffs after losing out on goal difference to second-place Cleveland Forces.
FCB will again look towards Castillo to lead the forward line. He has four goals with one assist in three matches. Midfielder Timo Jansen leads FCB in total assists with two.
