New FC Buffalo manager Dan Krzyzanowicz has some impressive names in the fold for his debut as Blitzers bench boss and will look for more in the next few weeks.
Open try-outs will be held at Sahlen’s Sports Park in Elma, N.Y., on the next two Mondays. Interested trialists are expected to register by emailing nick@fcbuffalo.org. The try-out times are as follows:
Monday, January 10, 2010 from 9:30-11:30 p.m. EST (Note: this was changed from 8-9:30 p.m.)
Monday, January 17, 2010 from 8-10 a.m. EST
“We owe a debt of gratitude to WNY Flash for allowing us to utilize their facility for the try-outs,” said FC Buffalo co-owner Nick Mendola. “We’re exciting to join them in helping Western New York soccer to move forward.”
Season tickets are available for the National Premier Soccer League campaign in the FCB Shop. The Blitzers are also hosting a fundraiser at Papa Jake’s on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo during the Jan. 22 United States friendly against Chile. Beginning at the 9 p.m. kickoff, supporters can pay $25 for a true Buffalo buffet (wings, ‘weck, etc.) and select beverages or $40 for a “Top Shelf” package with all proceeds being graciously donated to FC Buffalo from its official game day pub. Email: sean@fcbuffalo.org for details, or head to the Facebook event page. The Rochester Rhinos are some of the groups donating tremendous things for auction, raffle or giveaway. Check it out!
