It is FC Buffalo’s aim to have many aspects of what we do benefit people who do something special for our community, and as such we are quite pleased to work with Special Olympics New York during our Friday, May 3 international friendly against Mexican side Monarcas Morelia Premier.
The match is the first visit to Buffalo by a Mexican side in over 80 years and beginning this morning your ticket purchase can help the mission of Special Olympics New York. Every ticket purchased with the code SOny716 (case sensitive) will send one-third of the cost to Special Olympics New York.
Additionally, Special Olympics athletes will play a pre-match minigame on the pitch at All-High Stadium, and will conduct a 50-50 drawing to benefit their organization.
Special Olympics is “an international organization that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilities (ID). Through sports, our athletes are seeing themselves for their abilities, not disabilities. Their world is opened with acceptance and understanding.” Special Olympics is also four-star rated by Charity Navigator.
