FC Buffalo took one of the UWS’ shortest road trips and came away with a season-opening 4-1 win over FC Berlin at Buffalo State University’s Coyer Field.
FCB captain Carissima Cutrona scored twice in the win and played a hand in another goal, and Sarah Woods had a goal and an assist.

Several players including Cornell made their FCB debuts, with Leah Wengender, Claire DeAngelis, Gianna Tuzzolino, and Charlotte Takacsy playing their first games in blue and gold.
Cutrona, Dani Vis, Tess Ford, and Kam Vanderbosch joined goalkeeper Brigid Mulholland in playing all 90 minutes.
The women have two weeks off before a June 8 trip to Pittsburgh and a meeting with dangerous Steel City.
