Make it three former FC Buffalo players on the Rochester Rhinos for the 2013 season, as former FCB award winners Joshua Faga and Mike Reidy have signed deals to join Kendall McFayden for the Western New York professional club.
The folks are Upper 90 Magazine are reporting it, as is the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle (plus former FCB player Stephen Baker on Twitter).
“We’re thrilled for Josh & Mike,” said co-owner Nick Mendola. “It’s surely just the start of two electric professional careers for both players and with so much interest coming from professional clubs, we’re really happy both committed to plying their trade for the Rhinos.
“We’ve come to know Josh and Mike not only as hard-working, strong players but as terrific young men. These are great signings for Jesse Myers and the Rhinos staff.”
Faga is the team’s 2011 MVP while Reidy was the co-MVP in 2012. Reidy was selected in the MLS Supplemental Draft by Sporting KC in January before making his move to Rochester.
