FC Buffalo slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Dayton Dutch Lions on Tuesday, falling behind in the first half at Dayton Outpatient Center Stadium and failing to find finish on myriad late chances.
The loss drops the Wolves’ record to 3-3-2 in the 2024 USL League Two season and slows their playoff momentum while shining a brighter spotlight on Saturday’s home matinee with Kings Hammer FC.
Dayton took the lead three minutes before halftime as Jason Purks slotted the ball past Andreas Kokoska from the edge of the 18.

The Wolves had numerous chances to tie the game late in the final 10 minutes of the second half but couldn’t convert their chances.
The blue and gold are still searching for their first clean sheet this season, while today’s result was the second time FCB had been held scoreless this season.
Unfortunately, the Wolves missed out on a few key players, such as captain Max Kwitchoff and Ashton Jell, who have been regular starters this season.
The positive news for head coach Sean Hallas was the return of FCB’s vocal centerback Kobe Grant, who missed last week’s 1-1 home draw against Fort Wayne.
