As part of our partnership with Sweet Home High School, FC Buffalo is proud to announce our participation in bringing a unique camp experience to Western New York in the last week of June.
Arsenal Ladies head coach Pedro Martinez Losa and Arsenal Ladies assistant coach Jose Garcia are returning to Buffalo, where they coached with our friends the Western New York Flash.
Losa was the head coach at Rayo Vallecano before joining the Flash as an assistant coach. In his career as a manager, he’s won three Women’s La Liga titles, the 2015 Continental Cup, and the 2016 FA Women’s Cup.
As a bonus, players who participate in the Day Camp or Elite Camp will be eligible to win a trip to London for an Arsenal match. The winner will be drawn at halftime of our Friday, June 30 match, and includes round-trip flights for player and a parent/guardian, accommodations at the London Hilton Wembley Hotel, and an Arsenal first team game at the Emirates Stadium).
- There will be a day camp for kids in grades 4-12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 26-29.
- There is also an Elite Camp for grades 8-12 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. This includes a pre-evaluation on June 25 from 7-8:30 p.m.
- Additionally, we’re hosting a one day position camp on June 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Finally, Losa and Garcia will lead a coaches seminar entitled “How To Build A Winning Team” on July 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
