ATTENTION — FC Buffalo and Sportsplex are disappointed to announce that this Saturday’s event is canceled due to an insufficient number of registered participants. We plan to still get together with fans and local players at Resurgence Brewing Company, who is hosting our DipJar, at 1250 Niagara St. in Buffalo.
Come join FC Buffalo and Sportsplex this winter as we invite the best players in Buffalo to take the SPOT Challenge (and the rest of us to enjoy a night of refreshments and entertainment).
The SPOT Challenge will test Western New York players with four “video game” style on-field skills, with the following events:
S –> Speed dribble, with penalties for loss of control
P –> Power shot, measured by radar
O –> Obstacle dribble, with penalties for failed navigation
T –> Timed target shooting, hit all four corners in
There will be both male and female winners in each individual category as well as an overall champion.
The first SPOT Challenge runs between 7-11 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 15.
There is a $25 fee to schedule your time. Spectators are free, and the snack bar at Sportsplex will be open with beer (21+ with ID), pizza, and other refreshments available. Additional games and fun will be announced in due time.
