Marcy Barberic’s been named the United Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this young season.
Barberic scored a haul of four goals and chipped in a pair of assists on Saturday as FC Buffalo ran past Flower City 1872 at Williamsville South Athletic Field.
The ˝Grand Island native has returned from her season with professional club FK Reykjavik and found red-hot form right off the bat.
Barberic leads UWS in goals with eight and is tied for the league lead in assist with four.
She’ll join her teammates in a bid to go 4-0 when FC Buffalo visits Erie Commodores for the first Erie County derby of 2023 come Sunday in Pennsylvania.
The women’s next home game comes Thursday, June 15, when Canada’s FC Berlin rolls into town. Tickets are available here.
The men are home this weekend, though, when FCBFLO hosts Toledo Villa on Saturday, June 10 at Williamsville South Athletic Field for a 7pm start. Get your tickets here.
