FC Buffalo is ready for two big 2023 seasons between our men’s and women’s teams, with changes including a move into USL League Two for the men, a top-tier men’s head coach, new business partnerships, and now a late but positive change in venue for 2023.
We’re confident in the steps we’ve taken to advance the club, especially in response to the unplanned stadium obstacle.
We also want to continue to communicate in the best way possible with whatever information we’re cleared to share, so we’re addressing the stadium switch here so all supporters can be confident that our decisions remain clear, forthright, and transparent.
We hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits as we gear up for our 2023 season. As you may know, we have had to switch home venues for the upcoming season due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Dear FC Buffalo Fans and Supporters,
Last month, Buffalo Public Schools informed us that we could no longer play our 2023 season dates at Robert Rich Sr. All-High Stadium due to decisions regarding the brand-new turf and who’s allowed to use it.
While this news was unexpected — You don’t send season ticket holders “Welcome Home” postcards emblazoned with the stadium gates if you have even a modicum of doubt that you’ll be playing at a venue — we must respect any changes in preference as the grounds are owned by the Buffalo Public Schools. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible stadium crew and our many friends inside Buffalo Public Schools who worked tirelessly to keep us at All-High, despite the outcome.
We are pleased to announce that we have found the best new home for the 2023 season at Williamsville South High School. We are grateful to the decision-makers and community stakeholders at Williamsville Central Schools for the opportunity to hold our games at a new and high-class ground complete with a video board and on-site concessions.
The new location features bleacher seating on both sides of the field, ample parking, and a new playing surface. We believe the new stadium will provide fans with new opportunities to supplement their pre-game and post-game experiences by visiting nearby restaurants and businesses.
At FC Buffalo, we are committed to creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all fans. Our team is dedicated to making sure every fan that comes to our games feels valued and appreciated, whether they’re a lifelong supporter or a first-time visitor.
We cannot wait to share our new home stadium with you and look forward to seeing you in the stands this season beginning at 3pm this Saturday versus league powers Fort Wayne FC.
