“On Monday morning we were happy to receive a phone call from Pat Ercoli and the Rochester Rhinos inquiring about several of our players from the 2013 roster. If US Soccer and the United Soccer League approve the moves Tuesday morning, midfielders Brian Knapp and Peter Marlette as well as forward Andy Tiedt will sign with the Rhinos ahead of their Tuesday evening US Open Cup match-up with the New England Revolution at Sahlen Stadium in Rochester.
“Our goal has always been to advance and foster the careers of fine, hard-working young athletes while producing a winning team. It’s bittersweet for us as we know that Rhinos injuries or not, Brian, Peter and Andy are entirely capable of earning full-time professional contracts after just one showing in Rochester.
“While we certainly hope all three players will be back with us this weekend in Cleveland and that the Rhinos heal up and continue their 2013 quest, we also cannot help but anticipate watching our boys suit up for the Rhinos on Tuesday night, getting their well-deserved professional looks alongside such former FCB talents like Joshua Faga, Mike Reidy and Kendell McFayden.”
